The first is an article from the far-right Heritage Foundation in the US, which is fuming at Hugo Chavez's victory in the Venezuelan referendum the other day. The Heritage Foundation, like all American right-wingers, loves democracy, just as long as it returns fellow right-wingers to power. When it doesn't, it's said to be 'failing' and becomes a 'problem' that needs to be 'solved.' This is a great example of how the extreme right thinks. If 'thinks' is the right word. A lot more fun than that, though, is this musical number, a version of Woody Guthrie's 'This Land Is Our Land,' as performed by George Bush and John Kerry. It made me laugh out loud, several times.
