Books
My first book, One No, Many Yeses: a journey
to the heart of the global resistance movement
was a political travelogue, exploring the rise of the
‘anti-globalisation’ movement around the
world. It was published in the UK by Simon and Schuster
in 2003, and was subsequently translated into six languages and published
in thirteen other countries.
My latest book Real England: The Battle Against
The Bland explores the impact of breakneck
globalisation on the cultures and landscapes of my own
country, England. It explores the homogenising of the
landscape, the death of the small, the local and the
individual, and the people fighting for a different
kind of future.
